Order before August 1, 2025 and pay $25 per buoy. ($30 after August 1, until supply lasts)

Join in as Public Art Vermilion bring back the wildly popular Buoy Tree Project for the 2025/26 Holiday and Winter Season. This iconic 12’ tall Christmas “tree” is created out of more than 350 buoys, painted and decorated by folks like you who like to be creative and make art happen in Vermilion!

We’re inviting everyone—individuals, families, artists, friends, bookclubs, neighbors, and businesses—to make it happen. Won't you join us?

Here's how you can be part of this project:

1. Purchase a buoy (or two) from Public Art Vermilion.

2. Decorate it any way you want. Complete instructions and a material list will be provided.

3. Return your painted buoy by November 20th so it can be clear coated and ready to be included on the Buoy Tree, which will be on display in front of the Fulper Lot from the holidays thru Ice A Fair.

4. If desired, your buoy will be returned to you afterward for your own enjoyment!

To Get Your Buoy...

• Order one (or more) online here. A small processing fee applies.

• Pick up at Main Street, open Monday - Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday & Sunday 12-4pm. Complete instructions for painting and decorating will be included.
