You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.

The more we give, the happier we feel. Volunteering increases self-confidence. You are doing good for others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity.

The benefits of volunteering are countless. But there are social, emotional, physical, and professional perks, too.

  • It reduces stress

  • It improves your well-being

  • It keeps you young at heart

  • You can meet different kids of people

  • You might make new friends

  • You’ll learn something new

  • You’ll make a difference in your community

  • …and you might live longer!

One report says that people who volunteer over 100 hours a year are some of the healthiest people in the U.S.The best part, and often overlooked is that volunteering is just plain fun!
