There are two ways to participate as a Chalk It Up artist. Choose which one is right for you: *

Create your chalk art piece during the event starting between 10AM and noon, which gives visitors time to watch you work before the event end at 2PM. We will supply a chalkboard, pastel chalk and fixative. You can work on the grass or any of the tables at the event site. Please keep your submission tasteful, non controversial and non political.

Pick up a chalkboard (sized to fit in most cars) starting June 20th and work on your piece at home. We’ll supply the chalk as well. Put your name and title of the piece on the back and return to Main Street Vermilion before July 25th (10AM-4PM Monday-Friday, and Noon-4PM Saturday and Sunday) Please keep your submission tasteful, non controversial and non political.

After the event.... *

I agree to have my Chalk It Up piece displayed at Ritter Public Library throughout the remainder of August. After Labor Day, the artwork will be offered to our event sponsors first, artists second and finally, those not claimed can be purchased by the general for a donation to Main Street Vermilion.
